IWH-CoE Leadership Development - WISDOM Annual Conference

The Women In Science, Dentistry, Osteopathy and Medicine (WISDM) Faculty Organization Pathways to Leadership conference evolved from the efforts of a single school (VCU) into a statewide effort. Today, the four Virginia Schools of Medicine: Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, University of Virginia School of Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, jointly sponsor this annual conference in collaboration with the Medical Society of Virginia and the Richmond Academy of Medicine, and the VCU School of Dentistry.

The Conference, which celebrates its 16th year in 2008, is designed to promote professional development through enhancement of leadership skills. Community practitioners, academic faculty, administrators and other health care professionals, as well as medical, dental, and graduate students, residents and community leaders are welcome. Both women and men in medicine and science will gain skills that will enhance personal growth and advance careers.
