Educational offerings
The Women’s Health Center also offers a range of health education and health promotion classes, such as the Choose-to-Lose Weight Loss Program offered quarterly by a registered dietitian; Look Good, Feel Better Program for cancer patients who need a physical and emotional lift by enhancing their appearance during chemotherapy and radiation treatments; prenatal classes; and other wellness programs such as smoking cessation, Tai Chi, and walking.

- Healthy Beginnings [early pregnancy class offered 12 times a year]
- Childbirth Preparation [offered alternate months at Stony Point and downtown MCV Campus - 12 couples (24 individuals) per each 4-week class]
- Lamaze [offered 4 times a year from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on weekends – 12 couples (24 individuals)]
- Newborn Parenting [offered 4 times a year from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekends -16 individuals]
- Breastfeeding [offered 6 times a year - 8 individuals per class]
- Breastfeeding [offered 4 times a year from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekends - 16 individuals per class]
- Sibling [offered 4 times a year – 8 individuals]
- Car Seat Safety/Inspections [offered 6 times a year - 12 individuals]
